ORA Trails is asking for community participation in naming the trails in the Grandad Bluff Trail System. Construction is currently underway on the project, set to be completed by the end of October 2020.
ORA Trails is seeking to assemble a naming committee with a diverse group of members who share an interest in the outdoor community and a passion for the Coulee Region. Historical and cultural knowledge of the area will be at the forefront of discussion and candidates should consider this point of view when submitting an application for involvement.
During this time, the committee will communicate virtually through a series of email correspondences. To be considered for involvement, applications should expect to be available by email August 21-26. Applicants of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to apply! The Grandad Bluff Trail System is an exciting addition to the greater Hixon trail system that is becoming a regional magnet for outdoor recreational tourism dollars, and a centerpiece for outdoor family activities in the greater La Crosse area.
